Update to Medium Partner program requiring to gather 100 followers came as a surprise to many aspiring writers and people in the program gradually getting the count up.
No surprise there this has sparked a wave of article among medium community trying to help one another! Apart from being fast way to reach more people it is also a way to interact with fellow aspiring writers!
How the program/articles work and how you can make them work in your favor:
- Follow the author of the post (obviously!)
- Clap on the article to boost the visibility
- Reply to author, sharing what you want to share! This serves twofold purpose — getting noticed by the author so that he can reciprocate and also making you visible for other people who will visit this thread. They will be similarly like you looking for likeminded people to follow.
- Go down through the comments and reply to some of the top comments, sharing them your love! Similarly here: good deeds return good deeds and also make you visible to more aspiring writers.
- Look out for some of other writers in replies — if you see one with number below 100 -> you know they are looking. Probably not many people will see replies down the thread, but any aspiring writer under 100 will appreciate the follow and the clap!
The above mechanics seem have worked for many people as you will notice many of the being way above 100!
