When you need to manage big amounts of data and maintain the relationship between different data types, Airtable has certainly edge over Google Sheets. There are still situations when it makes sense to keep some data in Google Sheets. You might not want to give access to all parties to your Airtable but would like to have some ability to collectively change and update data. Shared Google Sheet will be a great solution here, but how to get that data back to Airtable?
Copy-paste is one option to carry the data over, but wouldn’t it be great if the data would move automatically from Google Sheet to Airtable. In this series, we will describe how to move and sync data between Google Sheets and Airtable.
Google Sheets to Airtable
Let's create first a simple Google Sheet that will be kept up to date with Airtable. We will use a table containing stocks, their quantity, and value.
We also need a table with a similar structure inside of Airtable.
